1 Hurt in Pedestrian Accident on Park Boulevard near San Diego Zoo
SAN DIEGO, CA (March 29, 2021) – A pedestrian sustained injuries in an accident on Park Boulevard, Monday morning.
According to the San Diego Police Department, the incident happened at about 8:48 a.m. A gray sedan reportedly made a turn onto a major road through Balboa Park. Then, the vehicle hit the pedestrian near Zoo Place.
The pedestrian, identified as a man in his early 20s, was pushed onto the sedan’s hood where his head hit the front windshield.
Paramedics transported the victim to a nearby hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Meanwhile, the driver of the sedan remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
San Diego police continue to investigate the cause of the accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
