Pedestrian Suffered Injuries in a DUI Accident on G Street near 11th Avenue

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (September 14, 2021) — A pedestrian suffered injuries in a suspected DUI Crash on G Street on Sunday, September 12.
 
The crash happened about 5:20 p.m. on Sunday. The driver of a Chevrolet Captiva turned left from eastbound G Street onto 11th Avenue. Then he struck the pedestrian on a crosswalk.
 
The pedestrian, a man in his 30s, had a compound fracture to his right leg, police said. Paramedics brought him to a medical center for treatment.
 
Officials arrested the 46-year-old male driver on suspicion of driving while intoxicated. He complained of pain so medics also rushed him to a hospital to be checked out.
 
Authorities continue to investigate the crash.
