RIVERSIDE, CA (September 30, 2021) – A pedestrian sustained injuries following a two-vehicle DUI accident on Van Buren Boulevard, Tuesday afternoon.
 
According to the Riverside Police Department, the incident happened on September 28 at about 12:05 p.m. A gray Chevrolet Colorado reportedly pulled into the intersection against a red light. Then, the Chevrolet crashed into a white Toyota Corolla that was making a left turn onto Challen Avenue.
 
The impact of the crash caused the Chevrolet to leave the intersection and hit a man walking on the sidewalk.
 
Emergency crews transported the pedestrian to a hospital in critical condition.
 
Meanwhile, both drivers did not sustain injuries. Officers later arrested both drivers on suspicion of DUI. Authorities did not release the names of the people involved in the accident.
