Fatal Pedestrian Hit-and-Run near Western Avenue in Gardena

 
GARDENA, CA (June 9, 2021) – A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run near Western Avenue and 132nd Street in Gardena Saturday, June 5.
 
Police identified the victim as 66-year-old Huey Randle. His place of residence is unknown.
 
The fatal incident happened around 9:50 p.m. on June 5 near the intersection. According to the Gardena Police Department, Randle was either walking or standing in the area when a light-colored van struck him.

The motorist did not stop after the crash, leaving the victim with severe injuries. Police have not located the van at this time.
 
Arriving paramedics attempted life-saving measures, but Randle died at the scene.
