Pedestrian Dies in Early Morning Crash with Pickup Truck on Hesperia Road

 
HESPERIA, CA (October 14, 2024) – A pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle on Hesperia Road early Friday morning on October 11.
 
The fatal crash happened around 4:13 a.m. near Eucalyptus Street. According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, the pedestrian was walking in the traffic lane when they were struck by a Nissan pickup truck.
 
As a result of the crash, the pedestrian suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
 
The driver of the pickup truck stayed on scene and cooperated with deputies.
 
At this time, the identity of the victim was not immediately available.
 
Hesperia Road was closed in both directions for several hours while deputies conducted the investigation.
