Pedestrian Struck, Killed by Multiple Vehicles on 5 Freeway in Santa Clarita

 
SANTA CLARITA, CA (May 4, 2023) — A pedestrian hit and killed by several cars on the 5 Freeway near Lyons Avenue left the northbound lanes closed.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal pedestrian accident happened around 4:52 a.m. Wednesday. A person believed to be a male pedestrian died after being hit by multiple cars, including a white Ford truck.
 
The unidentified victim died at the scene. CHP officers shut down all northbound lanes to investigate the pedestrian accident.
 
At this time, officers do not know why the man was crossing the road at the time since there is no disabled vehicle near the scene.
