LOS ANGELES, CA (September 8, 2021) — A pedestrian was hit and killed by cars on the 110 Freeway near 3rd Street.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal pedestrian crash happened around 5:16 a.m. Under unclear circumstances, a driver of a white bobtail vehicle struck a man who reportedly ran from the right shoulder toward the center divider wall. Furthermore, a witness informed CHP that the pedestrian was hit by another car and thrown at the truck.
 
Due to the nature of the accident, the unidentified male died. By 5:37 a.m., authorities issued a SigAlert to shut down the connector road at 3rd Street due to investigation.
 
At this time, officials have not confirmed the ultimate cause of the accident. However, any witnesses with additional information should contact the CHP.
