Pedestrian Fatally Hit by Car at San Bernardino Avenue in Redlands

 
REDLANDS, CA (March 20, 2024) — A pedestrian was hit and killed by a car at San Bernardino Avenue and California Street.
 
According to reports, the pedestrian accident happened on March 13. For unknown reasons, a man decided to cross the road in a marked crosswalk but against a red light. Subsequently, a driver heading eastbound on San Bernardino Avenue struck him.
 
Immediately after, the motorist pulled over, contacted 911 and began rendering CPR on the victim. Upon responding, paramedics took the victim to a hospital where he died later. Officials did not release his name.
 
Following the crash, the driver, who showed no signs of impairment from drugs or alcohol, cooperated with Redlands police officers.
