Pedestrian Dancing on 80 Freeway in American Canyon Dies after Struck by Vehicle

 
AMERICAN CANYON, CA (April 27, 2022) – A pedestrian was hit and killed by a car on 80 Freeway in American Canyon early Tuesday morning.
 
The crash happened around 1:41 a.m. on April 26 at American Canyon Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, the male victim was seen dancing in the eastbound lanes of the freeway when a vehicle struck him.
 
The impact caused the victim fatal injuries and he died at the scene. His identity was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
 
Crews closed several freeway lanes near the crash site until around 3:08 a.m. while they cleared the wreckage.
 
It is unknown if speed, drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
