Pedestrian Struck, Killed by Vehicle on 5 Freeway in Anaheim

 
ANAHEIM, CA (April 26, 2022) — A pedestrian was hit and killed by a car on the 5 Freeway near Euclid Street on Monday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal pedestrian accident occurred around 12:52 a.m. For unknown reasons, a driver of an unknown make and model, traveling in the southbound lane, hit a pedestrian on the road.
 
Soon after, paramedics and CHP officers arrived at the scene and found the pedestrian. Although the victim was located in the No. 2 lane, they might have been hit in the No. 1 lane.
 
With the help of a witness, CHP learned that a white pickup might have struck the victim. However, around 1:33 a.m., CHP officers received a call from a driver of a white Toyota Prius who pulled over at Disneyland Driver after hitting an unknown object.
 
At this time, the fatal victim’s name and the leading cause of the crash require more examination. However, any witnesses with information should contact the CHP.
