SAN JOSE, CA (September 13, 2024) — A pedestrian was fatally hit by a car on Highway 101 near Story Road.
 
The California Highway Patrol responded to the deadly pedestrian accident around 4:30 a.m. Thursday. Upon arriving, they learned that a person was lying on the northbound lanes of Highway 101 in San Jose. Authorities determined that a large vehicle ran over this individual. However, reports did not clearly say if the driver ran over the pedestrian while the victim was lying down.
 
Due to the fatal crash, authorities closed the center and right lanes.
 
Authorities did not specify the ultimate cause or leading factors. However, authorities are investigating this case further. If anyone has more information, call the CHP officers.
