1 Person Fatally Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver on Olive Drive in Davis

 
DAVIS, CA (April 11, 2023) — A pedestrian died in a hit-and-run accident on Olive Drive near the 80 Freeway.
 
According to City of Davis police officers, the hit-and-run happened in the 1400 block of Olive Drive on Monday. Under unclear circumstances, a driver struck a pedestrian and left the scene of the crash.
 
Shortly after, paramedics arrived at the scene but declared the person deceased. Investigators believe the person was hit by a car that left. However, hours later, police tracked down the suspected vehicle at a home in Sacramento but made no arrests.
 
Because detectives are still actively investigating the circumstances and waiting on the Coroner’s office to determine the cause and manner of death, they have not detained the suspect.
