Hit-and-Run Accident on South Blosser Road Leaves Pedestrian in Critical Condition
SANTA MARIA, CA (February 3, 2021) – A pedestrian was critically injured in a hit-and-run accident Saturday night in Santa Maria.
The accident happened around 6:20 p.m. at the intersection of South Blosser Road and West Cook Street.
According to Santa Maria Police Department, the pedestrian was crossing the road when a vehicle struck them. The driver of the vehicle did not stop to render aid, leaving the pedestrian with major injuries.
First responders rushed the victim to a hospital in critical condition.
Police said the vehicle likely has damage to the front bumper area and a broken front light assembly. They encouraged anyone with further information to contact Officer Sofia Marques at 805.928.3781, ext. 1333.
