Downtown LA Crash on 5th Street in Kills Pedestrian and Three Dogs

 
DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES, CA (September 30, 2022) – A pedestrian and his three dogs were hit and killed by a vehicle on 5th Street in downtown Los Angeles.
 
The fatal crash happened around 12:20 a.m. at the intersection with Hill Street. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the pedestrian was walking in a large crosswalk with his dogs when the driver struck them.
 
The victim, a man between 25 and 35 years old, died at the scene along with his dogs.
 
Police determined that the driver of the vehicle was under the influence at the time of the crash and arrested them.
 
Further investigation is underway.
