Head-On Crash on Sierra Highway in Palmdale Kills Passenger

 
PALMDALE, CA (January 2, 2022) – Paula Scott was killed in a head-on accident in Palmdale late Friday afternoon.
 
The fatal accident happened around 5:30 p.m. on December 31, at the railroad tracks of Sierra Highway, just south of Technology Drive. According to the Palmdale Sheriff’s Station, a Chevrolet Silverado was heading north on Sierra Highway when it crossed the double yellow lines and crashed head-on into a Honda Accord.
 
Scott, who was in a passenger seat of the Accord, died at the scene. She was a 61-year-old Palmdale resident, according to the coroner’s office.
 
Both drivers were taken to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.
 
Authorities said alcohol may have been a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.
