Patrick Infante, Canyon Sparks Hit Vehicle Involved in Rollover Crash on Highway 101 in Cloverdale

 
CLOVERDALE, CA (March 18, 2021) – Police identified Patrick Infante and Canyon Sparks as the drivers who hit a vehicle involved in a crash on Highway 101 on March 17.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at Highway 128 around 5:20 AM.
 
Based on a report, a Kia Forte with two passengers was going northbound on Highway 101 at the time of the crash. Due to unknown reasons, the vehicle lost control and overturned in the lanes. Subsequently, it hit the concrete center median before stopping in the middle of two northbound lanes. Then, the Kia Optima of Patrick Infante of Santa Rosa sideswiped it. A Chrysler 200 driven by Canyon Sparks of Rohnert Park then hit the front of the Forte.
 
The impact of the second collision ejected the driver from the Forte. As a result, officials said the victim died at the scene. They did not yet release the deceased’s identity pending kin notification. Crews sent the victim;s passengers to the hospital with moderate to major injuries. Sparks was also hospitalized with moderate injuries while Infante was not hurt in the incident.
