Patricia Cooper Dies in Bicycle Crash on Fitzgerald Road at Erringer Road

 
SIMI VALLEY, CA (January 2, 2024) — Patricia Cooper died in a bicycle accident on Fitzgerald Road at Erringer Road.
 
According to the Simi Valley Police Department, the deadly bicycle accident happened Thursday around 1:45 p.m. Under unclear circumstances, a 2002 Mercedes-Benz GLS 450 heading south on Erringer Road struck 45-year-old Cooper on her bike. As a result, Cooper suffered fatal injuries while the driver was unharmed.
 
Soon after, authorities and paramedics responded to the scene to investigate the crash. At the scene, Simi Valley police determined that neither alcohol nor drugs partook in the accident on either party. However, they learned that Cooper was in a marked crosswalk, heading westbound on Fitzgerald Road before the impact.
