Passenger Dies in Madera Solo-Car Crash on Highway 41

 
MADERA, CA (February 7, 2022) — A passenger died in a solo-car accident on Highway 41 near Road 406 on Tuesday.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal single-car accident occurred around 8:30 p.m. For unknown reasons, a driver in a southbound red 2004 Acura CL lost control and overcorrected. As a result, the vehicle veered down a steep embankment and overturned before resting on its roof.
 
Paramedics pronounced the driver’s passenger deceased at the scene.
 
Soon after, emergency personnel responded to the scene and rushed the driver to Community Regional Medical Center with major injuries.
