Lancaster Pedestrian Accident on 110th Street West, Pablo Martinez Dies

 
LANCASTER, CA (February 3, 2021) – Authorities identified a pedestrian who was struck and killed by a vehicle in Lancaster.
 
The crash happened on January 17 around 2:00 a.m. on 110th Street West, just south of Avenue K.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, 51-year-old Pablo Flores Martinez of Newhall was walking eastbound into the southbound lane of 110th Street West when a 2006 Toyota hit him.
 
Martinez suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
 
The involved driver remained on scene. He told officers that he was unable to see the victim in the darkness.
 
It is unknown if speed, drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
