Solo-Vehicle Accident Kills Osiris Miceli, Injures Damien Sousa on Park Boulevard in Joshua Tree

 
JOSHUA TREE, CA (October 5, 2021) – Police identified Osiris Miceli as the victim who died in a car accident on Park Boulevard on September 30.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Rainbow Ridge Road around 7:30 PM.
 
Based on an initial report, 38-year-old Damien Sousa of San Dimas, was driving a 2004 Ford F-250 truck southbound on Park Boulevard at the time of the crash. Due to unknown reasons, he drifted and then lost control of the vehicle. Subsequently, the truck overturned and came to rest on its roof.
 
As a result, one of the passengers, Osiris Rain Miceli, 29, of Glendora, died in the incident. Sousa and a 27-year-old female passenger suffered suspected minor injuries. Paramedics transported the other passenger to Desert Regional Medical Center for treatment. Meanwhile, they evaluated Sousa for DUI before they released him.
 
At this point, the San Bernardino Sheriff’s Office is still investigating this accident.
