Metro Train Involved in Fatal Pedestrian Accident at the Pershing Square Station in Los Angeles

 
LOS ANGELES, CA (July 28, 2021) – Police confirmed that a Metro train struck and killed one person in an accident at the Pershing Square Station on July 23.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at the 500 block of South Hill Street at about 9:45 AM.
 
Based on reports, the train on the Metro B Line struck the victim at the tracks. Consequently, the collision caused delays of up to 20 minutes on trains on the B Line and the D Line.
 
Firefighters and paramedics with the Los Angeles Fire Department arrived on the scene for rescue. However, the pedestrian died in the incident. Information on the identity and gender of the fatality was not immediately available.
 
At this point, this accident at the Pershing Square Station is still under investigation.
