Motorcycle Involved in Crash on D Street in La Verne
LA VERNE, CA (May 4, 2021) – One person suffered severe injuries in a motorcycle crash on D Street on April 30.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at the intersection of 3rd Street around 2:00 PM.
Based on a report, the 53-year-old man was riding his 2013 Triumph motorcycle to the south on 3rd at the time of the crash. At the same time, a teenage driver of an oncoming 2017 Toyota Corolla made a left turn directly into his path. Subsequently, the victim crashed into the passenger side of the sedan. Then, the impact sent him tumbling onto the roadway.
As a result, the rider sustained major injuries in the incident. Paramedics airlifted him to Palomar Medical Center for treatment. The 17-year-old girl behind the wheel of the Toyota was not hurt. Both victims are Ramona residents.
At this point, an investigation into this motorcycle crash on D Street is ongoing. Initial findings show that intoxication was not a factor.
