Pedestrian Suffers Major Injuries after Hit by Vehicle on Pinole Valley Road

 
PINOLE, CA (July 9, 2022) – One person was seriously injured in a pedestrian accident on Pinole Valley Road on Tuesday night, July 5.
 
The accident happened around 6:23 p.m., just between Marlin Court and Alhambra Valley Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, the pedestrian was walking in the 6000 block of Pinole Valley Road when a vehicle struck them.
 
Paramedics responded and transported the pedestrian to a hospital with major injuries.
 
It is unclear if the involved driver stayed after the crash. It is also unknown if drugs or alcohol was a factor.
 
CHP officials are still investigating the accident.
