Motorcycle Rider Injured in Accident on Highway 99 in Bakersfield

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (November 11, 2021) – A rider suffered serious injuries in a motorcycle accident on southbound Highway 99 on November 8.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened south of 7th Standard Road shortly after 3:00 PM.
 
Based on an initial report, emergency crews found the rider down in the road. Prior to that, a truck lost a part and hit the motorcycle, causing the rider to fly off. However, the details that led to the accident were not immediately available.
 
As a result, the motorcyclist had major injuries in the incident.
 
In addition, CHP said the crash closed the no. 1 lane of the highway.
 
At this point, an investigation is still ongoing.
