One Person Dead in Blythe Big Rig Accident on 10 Freeway

 
BLYTHE, CA (October 19, 2021) — One person died in a big rig crash on the 10 Freeway near Wiley’s Well Road Monday morning.
 
According to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department, the fatal accident happened around 2:07 a.m. For unknown reasons, two big rigs and a pickup crashed on the westbound side of the freeway.
 
Soon after, authorities and paramedics arrived to find at least one of the big rigs flipped onto its side blocking the eastbound lanes.
 
One person died at the scene.
 
Paramedics airlifted another person to a nearby hospital for treatment.
 
At this time, the case remains under investigation. However, any witnesses who could help the authorities with this crash should contact the CHP.
