OCEANSIDE, CA (April 25, 2022) — One person suffered critical injuries in a pedestrian accident on El Camino Real at Coco Palms Drive.
 
According to Oceanside police, the accident happened Friday night. Around 8:14 p.m., a driver struck a 50-year-old man on the road. As a result of the crash, the pedestrian suffered critical injuries, promoting paramedics to bring him to Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla.
 
Following the accident, the driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with police investigators, who ruled out DUI as a suspected factor in the accident.
