BUTTONWILLOW, CA (November 11, 2021) – At least one person died in a two-vehicle accident on Old River Road in Buttonwillow Tuesday night.
 
The accident happened around 6:15 p.m. on November 9, just north of Valpredo Avenue near Maricopa. According to the California Highway Patrol, two vehicles collided in the area for unknown reasons.
 
When officers arrived, they found at least one fatality as a result of the accident. Another person suffered moderate injuries.
 
It does not appear drugs or alcohol was a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.
