Late Evening Two-Vehicle Accident on Messina Avenue in Palermo, Fatality Reported
PALERMO, CA (May 11, 2021) – At least one person was killed in a two-vehicle accident at Messina Avenue and Lincoln Boulevard late Friday evening.
The accident happened around 10:40 p.m. on May 7. According to the California Highway Patrol, a silver Audi A4 and a white Toyota pickup truck collided for unknown reasons. The impact pushed the Audi onto the right shoulder, while the pickup truck went into an orchard. One of them also crashed into trees.
First responders found several occupants trapped inside one of the vehicles. Paramedics provided medical aid, but at least one patient died at the scene.
The Audi had moderate front-end damage and was towed away from the wreckage.
No identification is being released at this time. It is also unknown if speed, drugs or alcohol played a factor.
The circumstances of the crash remain under investigation.
