Early Morning Two-Vehicle Accident on Highway 79 in Moreno Valley Kills At Least One

 
MORENO VALLEY, CA (November 8, 2021) – At least one person was killed in a two-vehicle accident on Highway 79 in Moreno Valley early Saturday morning.
 
The accident happened around 12:10 a.m. on November 6 at the intersection with Gilman Springs Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, a Toyota sedan and another vehicle collided, sending one of them down in a ditch. The collision also knocked down a light pole.
 
An occupant of the Toyota sedan called authorities, reporting that her sister was injured and unresponsive.
 
Officers and paramedics arrived soon after. Despite life-saving efforts, one person did not survive and was pronounced dead at the scene.
 
The cause of the accident remains under investigation. It is unknown at this time if drugs or alcohol was involved.
