Two-Vehicle Accident on Highway 65 in Porterville Leaves at Least 1 with Fatal Injuries

 
PORTERVILLE, CA (November 8, 2021) – At least one person was killed in a two-vehicle accident on Highway 65 in Porterville Saturday night.
 
The accident happened around 6:34 p.m. on November 6 along the northbound lanes of Highway 65 at West Scranton Avenue. According to the Porterville Police Department, a black truck and a van collided for unknown reasons. The impact sent both vehicles off the roadway.
 
When officers arrived, they found two people pinned in one of the vehicles.
 
Paramedics provided life-saving aid, but at least one occupant died at the scene. The identity of the deceased was not immediately available.
 
Police are still investigating whether drugs or alcohol played a factor in the crash.
