Deadly Accident on Highway 190 in Porterville Involves Big Rig and SUV

 
PORTERVILLE, CA (April 11, 2021) – One person died in a car accident on Highway 190 in Tulare County Friday morning, April 9.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened a little after 7:00 a.m. at the intersection with Road 208, just west of Porterville.
 
A semi-truck carrying two empty trailers collided with a Chevy Suburban. As a result, one patient suffered significant injuries and died at the scene. The identity of the victim was not immediately available pending family notification.
 
It was not immediately clear if there were any other injuries sustained from the accident.
 
Caltrans crews shut down part of Highway 190 for the investigation. The road has since reopened.
