Two-Vehicle Accident on Highway 12 in Stockton Turns Deadly

 
STOCKTON, CA (January 16, 2023) – At least one person was killed in a two-vehicle accident on Highway 12 in Stockton Saturday night on January 14.
 
The fatal accident happened around 6:17 p.m. at Thornton Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, a semi truck and an SUV collided in unclear circumstances. The impact sent the SUV about 10 feet off the roadway.
 
When officers arrived, they located the SUV with major side damage. They also found at least one fatality as a result of the crash.
 
At this time, it is unknown if drugs or alcohol was involved. The identity of the victim was also not available.
 
An investigation into this fatality is underway.
