Fatal Late Evening Accident on 5 Freeway in Lebec Involves Semi Truck and Sedan

 
LEBEC, CA (December 6, 2021) – One person was killed in a two-vehicle accident on 5 Freeway in Lebec late Saturday evening.
 
The fatal accident happened around 10:45 p.m. on December 4, near Frazier Mountain Park Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, a semi truck and a silver sedan collided along the southbound lanes of the freeway.
 
When officers arrived, they located both vehicles blocking multiple freeway lanes. They also confirmed at least one fatality as a result of the accident.
 
The name, age and hometown of the victim were not immediately available.
 
After the crash, the CHP divered traffic off at Lebec Road. Southbound lanes were closed for several hours.
