Fatal Truck Accident on Obanion Road in Yuba City

 
YUBA CITY, CA (May 30, 2021) – At least one person was killed in a truck accident on Obanion Road in Yuba City Saturday evening, May 29.
 
The accident happened around 7:58 p.m. at the intersection with Highway 99, also known as Golden State Highway. According to the California Highway Patrol, a Ford pickup truck and a semi truck pulling a trailer collided for unknown reasons.
 
First responders found one person pinned in the wreckage. Firefighters worked to extricate the patient.
 
Despite life-saving efforts, at least one person died at the scene. The identity of the victim was not immediately available.
 
CHP officials are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
