Truck Accident on 118 Freeway in Mission Hills Kills 1 and Seriously Injures 2

 
MISSION HILLS, CA (January 25, 2022) – One person died in a truck accident on 118 Freeway in Mission Hills on Monday morning.
 
The accident happened around 7:30 a.m. on January 24 along the westbound side of the freeway, just east of 405 Freeway. According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, a panel truck and a work truck towing a trailer collided for unknown reasons.
 
Responding firefighters extricated one person from the work truck.
 
Despite life-saving efforts, one person died at the scene. The identity of the deceased victim was not immediately available.
 
Meanwhile, two men suffered serious injuries.
 
The crash also caused major front-end damage on the box truck.
 
At this time, authorities are still investigating the accident to determine the exact cause and factors involved.
