Fatality Reported in Traffic Crash on 880 Freeway near Broadway Avenue

 
OAKLAND, CA (February 7, 2022) — One person died following a traffic accident on 880 Freeway on Friday, February 4.
 
According to California Highway Patrol, the deadly crash took place on the northbound lanes of 880 Freeway near the Broadway Avenue off-ramp.
 
CHP reported a fatality in the incident. They have not released the identity and city of residence of the deceased.
 
There are no reports if alcohol or drugs played a role in the incident.
 
Officers closed the lanes at Broadway Avenue and diverted all traffic to northbound 880 at Oak Street.
