Morning Traffic Accident on 8 Freeway in McCain Valley Ends in Fatality

 
MCCAIN VALLEY, CA (February 28, 2023) – At least one person was killed in a traffic accident on 8 Freeway in McCain Valley on Saturday morning.
 
The fatal accident happened around 5:50 a.m. on February 26. According to the California Highway Patrol, officers responded to the scene and confirmed at least one fatality as a result of the accident.
 
At this time, the victim’s name will be withheld pending notification of next of kin.
 
The number of involved vehicles was unclear and the cause of the crash is still under investigation.
