Semi-Truck Involved in Fatal Accident with Train on Sierra Street at Simpson Street in Kingsburg

 
KINGSBURG, CA (August 22, 2022) – Police confirmed that a driver died after semi-truck got into an accident with a train on Sierra Street on August 18.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred at Simpson Street at approximately 8:00 PM.
 
Based on reports, the driver of the semi did not make a stop as a train approached it. Subsequently, the two vehicles crashed and the truck went up in flames.
 
As a result, officers with the Kingsburg Police and the Kingsburg Fire Department confirmed that the truck driver died in the incident. The victim’s identity was not immediately available.
 
It is unknown if drugs or alcohol was involved in the crash. At this point, no other details are available. Also, an investigation into the case is ongoing.
