Rollover Accident on Highway 395 in Mono County Ejects Driver from Pickup Truck, Fatally Struck by Trailer

 
MONO COUNTY, CA (November 15, 2021) – One person died in a rollover accident on Highway 395 in Mono County, Friday morning.
 
The accident happened around 5:04 a.m. on November 12, near the Deadman Summit. According to the California Highway Patrol, a Ford F250 pickup truck was traveling south on the highway when it lost control and overturned.
 
The driver of the pickup truck was thrown from the vehicle during the crash. A trailer loaded with firewood then struck the driver, causing him fatal injuries. He died at the scene.
 
Authorities withheld the identity of the deceased pending next of kin notification.
 
This fatal accident is still under investigation.
