Deadly Rollover Accident on 405 Freeway in Sherman Oaks

 
SHERMAN OAKS, CA (May 4, 2021) – At least one person died in a rollover accident on 405 Freeway in Sherman Oaks Thursday morning, April 29.
 
The accident happened around 9:20 a.m. near Sepulveda Boulevard. CHP officials said the crash involved a dark-colored car, a truck and several other cars.
 
Witnesses told officers that the dark-colored car rolled over several times, blocking the inner two lanes on the freeway.
 
Paramedics responded and confirmed at least one fatality. The name, age and gender of the victim were not immediately available.
 
It is unknown if there are other injuries sustained in the crash.
 
Los Angeles Fire Department units were called to stop traffic at Sepulveda Boulevard while the cleared the wreckage. They issued a SigAlert around 9:33 a.m., blocking the inner two lanes and the express lane for at least one hour.
 
At this time, the California Highway Patrol is still investigating the accident.
