Driver Dies after Speeding Pickup Truck Rear-Ends His Car on West Harry Bridges Boulevard in Wilmington

 
WILMINGTON, CA (December 29, 2021) – One person was killed in a rear-end accident on West Harry Bridges Boulevard in Wilmington Friday evening.
 
The accident happened around 7:20 p.m. on December 24. According to the Los Angeles Police Department’s South Traffic Division, a pickup truck was speeding westbound when it rear-ended another vehicle in the 1100 block of West Harry Bridges Boulevard.
 
As a result, the driver of the second vehicle suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. They were not yet identified.
 
The driver of the pickup truck sustained minor injuries. Police later took them into custody.
 
At this time, it is unclear if alcohol or drugs was a factor in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
