Pedestrian Dies after Struck by Vehicle near Winchester and Margarita Roads
TEMECULA, CA (December 20, 2021) – One person was killed in a pedestrian accident near Winchester Road and Margarita Road early Saturday morning.
The accident happened around 4:00 a.m. on December 18, just steps away from the Promenade Temecula mall. According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, the pedestrian was allegedly jaywalking across the mall when a vehicle struck them.
As a result, the pedestrian suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
The driver stopped at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
At this time, no arrest were made and the victim’s identity was not yet available.
Police said intoxication was not a factor in the accident. Further investigation is underway.
