City of Manteca Solid Waste Truck Involved in Manteca Pedestrian Accident on South Main Street

 
MANTECA, CA (March 8, 2021) – Police confirmed that one person died in a pedestrian accident on the South Main Street overpass on March 3.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at Highway 120 shortly before 8:00 AM.
 
Based on a report, the pedestrian was at the overpass at the time of the crash. Due to unknown reasons, a garbage truck came and struck the victim.
 
As a result, the pedestrian died at the scene. As of now, officials have not yet released the victim’s identity pending kin notification.
 
Reports said that the truck belonged to the City of Manteca Solid Waste office.
 
At this point, the California Highway Patrol’s Stockton office is still investigating this pedestrian accident on South Main Street. In addition, officers urge anyone with further information to call them.
