EL MONTE, CA (January 17, 2022) – One person was killed in a pedestrian accident at Rosemead Boulevard and Durfee Avenue on Sunday evening.
 
The accident happened just before 6:00 p.m. on January 16. According to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, the pedestrian was walking at the intersection when a vehicle struck them.
 
When officers arrived, they found the pedestrian suffering from severe injuries. Life-saving aid was performed, but the victim died at the scene.
 
At this time, it is unclear if the involved driver has stayed and cooperated with authorities.
 
The circumstances of this fatal accident remain under investigation.
