Pedestrian Dies after Struck by Pickup Truck on Road 160 in Ivanhoe

 
IVANHOE, CA (October 13, 2021) – One person was killed in a pedestrian accident on Road 160 at Freedom Avenue Tuesday afternoon.
 
The accident happened around 3:35 p.m. on October 12. According to the Tulare County Fire Department, the pedestrian was walking in the area when a white Dodge Ram pickup truck hit them.
 
The impact caused the pedestrian major injuries. Responding paramedics attempted life-saving aid, but the victim died at the scene.
 
Coroner’s officials will release the identity of the pedestrian once next of kin is notified.
 
At this time, it is unknown if drugs or alcohol was a factor. An investigation is underway.
