Deadly Pedestrian Accident at Q and 22nd Streets in Rio Linda

 
RIO LINDA, CA (July 28, 2021) – One person was killed in a pedestrian accident at Q Street and 22nd Street in Rio Linda Monday evening.
 
The accident happened around 9:27 p.m. on July 26. According to the California Highway Patrol, a white sedan struck the pedestrian at the intersection. The impact caused the victim significant injuries.
 
Firefighters along with paramedics arrived at the scene and rendered aid to the pedestrian. Sadly, the victim did not survive and was declared dead.
 
At this time, authorities did not release the victim’s identity.
 
It is unknown if speed, drugs or alcohol factored the accident. The CHP is still conducting their investigation.
