FRESNO, CA (April 11, 2021) – Police confirmed that one person died in a pedestrian accident on North Jeanne Avenue on April 7.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at West Bullard Avenue around 2:30 PM.
 
Based on a report, the pedestrian was on the tracks prior to the accident. Subsequently, an oncoming freight train hit the victim.
 
As a result, Fresno police said the victim died at the scene. Officials did not release the deceased’s identity pending kin notification.
 
The freight train stopped on the tracks following the collision.
 
At this point, this pedestrian accident on Jeanne Avenue is still under investigation.
