Early Morning Pedestrian Crash on Highway 87 in San Jose Turns Deadly

 
SAN JOSE, CA (February 22, 2023) – One person died in a pedestrian accident on Highway 87 in San Jose early Sunday morning.
 
The fatal accident happened around 4:50 a.m. just south of Curtner Avenue. According to the California Highway Patrol, a vehicle was traveling south on the highway when it struck the victim.
 
The victim suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. They were not yet identified.
 
Details about any possible injuries suffered by the driver were not immediately clear, though the motorist was cooperative with authorities.
 
This fatality remains under investigation.
