Fatal Pedestrian Accident on Edison Highway in East Bakersfield
BAKERSFIELD, CA (November 12, 2021) – One person was killed in a pedestrian accident on Edison Highway in East Bakersfield Wednesday night.
The fatal accident happened around 6:25 p.m. on November 10, just east of Ogden Street. According to the California Highway Patrol, the pedestrian was either walking or standing in the area when at least one vehicle struck them.
When officers arrived, the found the pedestrian suffering from significant injuries. Life-saving efforts were performed, but the victim died at the scene.
At this time, the identity of the deceased was not immediately available. It is also unknown if drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
CHP officials are still investigating the fatality.
