Pedestrian Dies after Hit by Truck on Chester Avenue in Oildale

 
OILDALE, CA (April 27, 2022) – One person was killed in a pedestrian accident on Chester Avenue in Oildale on Monday evening.
 
The accident happened just before 8:00 p.m. on April 25 at the intersection with China Grade Loop. According to the California Highway Patrol, the pedestrian was in a crosswalk when a white truck struck them.
 
After the crash, the driver stopped and called 911.
 
Authorities arrived soon after and found the victim lying in the roadway with severe injuries. Paramedics rendered aid, but the pedestrian died at the scene.
 
The name, age and hometown of the victim was not immediately available.
 
It is unknown if drugs or alcohol was a factor. An investigation into this fatality is ongoing.
